With all pre-service repairs finished, Macs have now begun servicing of the automatic rising bollards in Bradford city centre. With the first service already complete, these six monthly visits will ensure that the bollards are kept in a good working condition and running as they should.
The servicing of the bollards includes:
Works carried out:
- Cleaning and greasing of the central sliding rail
- Testing (and replacement, if needed) of the upper gummy locks
- Testing (and replacement, if needed) of the handling piston for oil leaks
- General testing of the pop-up elements screws for correct tightening
- General cleaning of the driven cylinder
- Testing of the hydraulic station, oil level top-ups
- Test working pressure settings
- Testing of safety pressure switch for correct operation (40Kg)
Operating Tests:
- Incorporated flashing movement light for correct operation
- Operation test on traffic light system and LEDs
- Operation test all induction loops
- Operation test of the power failure procedure
- Operation test all access control commands
- Sight check electronic handling management unit
- Operation test Fireman’s Switch
