With the unfortunate threat of vehicle borne attacks within the UK and elsewhere, there comes the need for reliable and effective Hostile Vehicle Mitigation measures.

Many deterrents and preventative measures are taken to combat vehicle borne threats, including the use of high security infrastructure to mitigate the opportunity of such threats to take place. Vehicle Security Barriers (VSBs) are designed to assist with hostile vehicle mitigation measures, and we provide a range of impact tested bollards tested to meet IWA 14-1 and PAS 68 specifications.

What are impact tested bollards?

As vehicle security barriers (VSBs), such as HVM bollards, are designed to help counter against vehicle borne attacks, they are commonly used to protect high profile sites and secure locations. With the use of HVM bollards as a means of perimeter protection, a variety of standards have been prepared to address the needs of those who wish to have the assurance that the bollards will provide the level of impact resistance they require.

Our range of HVM automatic bollards have been tested to a number of these standards, including ISO IWA 14-1:2013 and BSI PAS 68:2013

ISO IWA 14-1:2013 is an International Workshop Agreement which specifies the essential impact performance requirement for a vehicle security barrier (VSB), and a test method for rating its performance when subjected to a single impact by a test vehicle not driven by a human being. It is supported by IWA 14-2, which is designed to provide guidance on VSB selection, use and installation.

BSI PAS 68:2013 is the latest Publicly Available Specification in the UK for Vehicle Security Barriers, such as automatic rising bollards. The rating a product receives is dependent on several factors, including test vehicle type, vehicle travel speed and vehicle weight. BSI PAS 69:2013 provides guidance on the selection, installation and use of vehicle security barriers tested to PAS 68 specifications.

275/K4 -900A

Current models are the result of our 40 years’ experience in the security field and in excess of 20 years in the specific design and manufacture of high security automatic bollards. The 275/K4 900A PAS 68 security bollard is recommended for use in any security sensitive application where hostile vehicle mitigation is required.

The K4 275/900A security bollards are available with a number of optional accessories, that allow you to fully customise your system according to your security needs.

275/M30-1200A

Macs M30 275/1200 automatic bollards have been produced and tested to ensure a high level of perimeter defence, certified to ASTM F2656-07 M30 (K4). The 275/M30-1200A bollard is recommended for use in any security sensitive sites where hostile vehicle mitigation is required.

Macs 275/K12-900A automatic bollards have been produced and tested to ensure a high level of perimeter defence, being certified to DOS SD-STD-02.01 K12 L1. K12 275/900 bollards are recommended for use in any security sensitive sites where hostile vehicle mitigation is required.
